The easiest way to create a new product is to clone a product which is similar to the one you would like to create.
Navigate to the [Inventory] -> [Manage Products] menu, and expand the product you would like to clone. Then click the [Clone] button, It will navigate you to the Create new product screen but with all the fields filled in except SKU which needs to unique for each product.
A clone success message will show you.
After you close the popup window, you will see all the information is filled.
Tips, do not forget to change the product name, because the product name must be unique in the system.
